Tag’s one-screen chase in the .io category

Tag throws you into a shared 2D chase where the white arrow shows who carries the pressure, and every jump can flip that role in a blink. It sits in the .io lane with no download and no signup, and the whole round depends on reading the other players instead of memorizing a long route.

Whoever is “it” has to keep moving

The game works best when you cut close, change direction late, and force someone else into the tag zone. Because 2 to 4 players all share one stage, a single mistimed landing can hand the lead straight over, especially in the tighter 2 Player matches.

Three layouts, one hidden escape

Each arena changes how you use corners, gaps, and dead ends, so the same chase can feel different from round to round. A one-use teleport gives you an emergency escape or a sudden reversal, and that extra burst fits the Jumping and Platformer sides of the game.

Keyboard keys and edge touch controls

On desktop, each player gets a separate key set: Player 1 uses W, A, D; Player 2 uses the arrow keys; Player 3 uses I, J, L; and Player 4 uses T, F, H. On phones and tablets, you use touch zones at the edges of the screen, so the same local scramble works well as a mobile-friendly browser round. If you want that same shared-screen pressure in another format, 2,3,4 Player Games leans on the same kind of local competition.

The pace stays sharp because each round is short and the stage never splits the players apart. That keeps every tag, jump, and reversal tied to what the other runners are doing right now.
