Age of Heroes — tower defense with changing eras
In a standard tower defense game, you build towers and hold one lane until the end of the level. Here, that’s joined by a squad: you assemble heroes and pets yourself and lead them through six eras. The closest vibe is AOD - Art Of Defense, but there the whole journey takes place in a single post-apocalyptic setting, while here the era changes the entire set of troops and towers too.
Defense and offense work both ways
You don’t just defend your own towers — you also assault other players’ bases. Your squad is made up of knights, mages, and warriors from different eras, and pets join the team alongside the heroes to boost it. There’s PvP too: your lineup goes up against other players’ teams. If you’re more into competition against real people, Heroes Towers focuses more on that side — the whole game is built around enemy towers and leaderboard placement.
What changes from the Stone Age to space
You start in the Stone Age, defending a village with basic squads. Then come the Middle Ages with knights and fortress sieges, the gunpowder era with artillery, the modern age with air power, the future with energy weapons and mechs, and the final earthly stage — the space age. Each era brings its own troops and its own tower types. Once all six Earth eras are cleared, new planets unlock, and your army keeps growing there.
