Prison Architect: Cage Break Tycoon — the prison tycoon with nighttime escapes
In most prison games, the inmate tries to break out. Here it’s the other way around: you’re the block boss, and your job is to stop prisoners from getting away. The day is split into two parts. By day, you move through the build zones: place cameras, reinforce doors, hire guards. This part plays like a chill tycoon game such as My Arcade Center — walk up to a spot and wait for the result. At night, prisoners sprint for the exit, and the fight begins.
Why upgrade the cells
A knocked-out prisoner has to be carried back to a cell and locked up again. The cell itself can be upgraded too: leg chains, handcuffs, bars, and a toilet. The tougher the cell, the fewer escapees you’ll face at night. Prisoners get stronger every day, so upgrades don’t automatically keep up with them.
What matters at night
Shooting happens on its own. Your only job is to position the boss and catch runners before they slip past. Dollars go into three upgrade paths: speed, capacity, and weapons. Tickets are a separate currency, used for premium weapons against bosses. Bosses are bigger prisoners; they’re harder to stop, but they pay out more.
One prison takes about ten days, then the game moves you on to the next one, with tougher prisoners. If you want a tycoon without the night phase, try Idle Train Empire Tycoon — it’s all about running a station.
