Arrow Rescue — a puzzle about arrows around a cage
A little animal is trapped in a cage, and around it, in several layers, there are colored arrows. Each one points in its own direction. You tap an arrow, and it tries to leave the board in the direction it’s facing. If the path is clear, the arrow flies away. If another arrow is in the way, the move fails.
So it’s not speed that matters, but the order. First you need to find the arrow with a clear path to the edge, remove it, and open the way for the one next to it. The same sort of clearing-the-blocked-path logic is at the heart of Arrow Puzzle, but without the animal rescue story.
What the number on the tile shows
The arrows are stacked, and the tile shows how many are still there. The number drops every time the top arrow leaves the board. It’s a clue to how much work is still hiding under the top layer. When the tiles empty out, the cage opens and the animal gets free.
The main danger is a dead end. One wrong move can block the only open route, and the remaining arrows will trap each other. The same cost of a mistake appears in Arrows Puzzle Escape, where the exit is also shut off by your own bad move.
